—Andy, counselor, past program participant

Program cancelled.

For new and returning participants, especially mental-health, yoga and movement, and medical professionals.

Body-Mind Psychotherapy is unique in its commitment to integrate body and mind through neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, and the practice of embodiment. In this continuation of Susan Aposhyan’s Body-Mind Psychotherapy Training, you will enter your body to uncover your essential self. Using basic embodiment practices, you can learn to tap into the natural human qualities of presence, compassion, and transformational healing.

This segment of the Body-Mind Psychotherapy Training curriculum explores the fundamental dynamics of embodied relationship, the physiology of compassion, and the interaction cycle as a simple tool utilizing the body for psychological change. We will focus on the relationship between the heart, brain, and cells. Helpful to psychotherapists, counselors, coaches, yoga and movement instructors, organizational consultants, and medical professionals, this training provides tools to support embodiment, body-mind integration, and positive psychological change.

Recommended reading Susan Aposhyan, Natural Intelligence (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) and Body-Mind Psychotherapy (W. W. Norton & Company).
