Assistant Director of Development
Full-time
Reporting to the Director of Development, this position will be responsible for a portfolio of major donors and prospects—including crafting strategies, visits, events, and significant travel. The Assistant Director will partner with the entire Development team, Kripalu leaders and board members, volunteers, and others to solicit and close outright and deferred gifts. They will manage prospect and donor research, oversee two direct mail appeals, and perform other duties as needed.

A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of development experience in increasingly responsible roles required, along with a strong background in soliciting and closing major gifts. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge preferred, but not required.

Cook
Full-time
The meals at Kripalu are prepared by people who are passionate about creating engaging, flavorful food. We are looking for cooks who work well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include preparing meals from a designed menu while maintaining proper safety and sanitation practices. These positions require the ability to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and taste or smell. Candidates must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs; frequently lift/and or move up to 25 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of vegetarian cuisine is a plus.

Healing Arts Sales Advisor

We seek outgoing, enthusiastic, engaged individuals to sell and schedule Healing Arts services in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Requires the ability to confidently recommend treatments, bundle appropriate sessions together, up-sell sessions, proactively meet sales goals, and speak comfortably with guests to promote services. Must be team players with excellent customer service, computer, and communication skills and be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. A passion for what you do is a must!

Veggie Prep Supervisor

We are looking for a supervisor for the Vegetable Preparation Department, a division of Kripalu’s Food Service. This position will supervise a team-oriented department that supports Kripalu’s cooks in providing three meals a day, as well as preparations for special events. Responsibilities include ensuring a high standard of productivity, accountability, and cleanliness while maintaining a priority on safety and sanitation. Daily responsibilities will include washing, slicing, and dicing vegetables and fruits; sorting beans; and cutting tofu and tempeh. The job requires the ability to stand, lift, and reach, along with pushing and pulling heavy carts. Some heavy lifting is required. Must have strong commitment to excellence; attention to detail; be able to communicate concisely; be accountable, dependable, reliable, and organized.
