Job OpportunitiesUpdated daily. Assistant Director of Development Full-Time. Reporting to the Director of Development and working very closely with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and other Development staff, the Assistant Director of Development will work to continually upgrade and implement all phases of development activities in preparation for a major capital campaign: prospect identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation. This position plays a major role in strategizing and implementation of the Annual Fund and Major Gifts program; planned and deferred giving; the staging of cultivation events at Kripalu and in key cities, and the solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of major donor prospects. Additionally, the Assistant Director will take the lead role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate and foundation support. Responsibilities will include working closely with other departments to introduce philanthropy into the mix of each guest experience and to achieve a unity of message and communication materials. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years experience in development in increasingly responsible roles or a combination of development experience, education, and applicable training. A track record in soliciting and closing major gifts is preferred. Experience with corporate and foundation research and solicitations strongly recommended. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser’s Edge and PowerPoint preferred. Experience in prospect research, grants writing, databases, planned and/or annual giving a plus. Kripalu is seeking an inspired clinical practice manager for our integrative medical services. We are looking for a professional with small to medium-size practice management experience who can manage the start-up of these services, support our physicians, and develop the processes and protocols for a growing practice. The right candidate would also have experience with phone/e-mail consultative service management and systems. This position will work with the Healing Arts manager, program operations manager, and director of the Institute for Integrated Healing to integrate and implement operations and services. Household Staff Member Part-time. Detail-oriented individuals wanted to join a dynamic household staff committed to upholding high standards of order and cleanliness. Responsibilities include custodial and guest room work—up to 24 hours per week, 9 am to 3 pm. Kitchen Support Staff Full-Time/Part-time. Join a team of kitchen staff committed to providing excellent food service support. Support staff perform a variety of work flows, including serving meals, operating the dish machine, managing waste, participating in deep cleaning projects, stocking, and cross-training. The successful candidates will have general knowledge of food service operations and health codes, customer service experience, and be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Must be courteous towards self and others, be able to work effectively and sensitively with staff at all levels of the organization, and be physically fit and able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Overnight Household/Security Guard. Kripalu is presently looking to fill a part-time, third shift security guard position. Candidate will be friendly, helpful, honest, reliable, have excellent communication and problem solving skills, and the ability to remain calm in all situations. Licensed Nutritionist/Registered Dietitian Per Diem. Support Kripalu’s Integrative Weight Loss and Health for Life program participants and other guests by providing nutrition consultations based on Kripalu’s nutrition philosophy. Experience with complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) preferred. Marketing Operations Assistant Full-time. Reporting to the Marketing Production Manager, the assistant will support the Marketing department in the areas of finance, lists, and production. Responsibilities include coordinating the annual budget process, tracking promotional spending, and being a liaison with Finance. This position will also be working with our customer lists, monitoring and training personnel with system input access, updating status and address changes, and coordinating all list hygiene processes, i.e. NCOA; as well as assisting with marketing production as necessary. Must be detail-oriented, hard working, and highly organized, with 2 to 3 years of finance or related experience and a working knowledge of spreadsheets. Previous work with lists and/or production extremely helpful. Veggie Prep Staff Member Full-time. Successful candidates will be a team player and support the cooks in providing three meals a day, as well as preparing for specialized programs. Daily responsibilities include: washing, slicing, and dicing vegetables; sorting beans; pressing and cutting tofu; and cutting tempeh, while maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace. This position involves frequent standing and reaching; occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching; and regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Requires good physical condition, a strong commitment to excellence, accountability, dependability, and the ability to work effectively and sensitively with different staff members. A high priority is placed on interpersonal skills, open and conscious communication, reliability, organization, and attention to detail. Management opportunities are available for the right candidate. Workshop Programmer Full-time.
