New Format Starting September 2009
The Kripalu School of Ayurveda will be launching a new format in September 2009 that will emphasize the powerful educational model of immersion learning. Students will delve into the science of Ayurveda while living in a yogic environment that fully supports their experience.
The curriculum has been designed so that it can be completed within one year or spaced out over a longer period of time. Sessions will take place one to two months apart with home-study assignments in between.
The format and schedule will be as follows:
- Foundations of Ayurveda: Two 12-day segments scheduled for September 13–25 and November 29–December 11, 2009. These two segments must be taken together as scheduled. In addition to being the foundation for the Ayurvedic Consultant Training, this two-segment course is ideal for yoga teachers and other individuals looking for a solid grounding in Ayurvedic principles.
- Ayurvedic Consultant Certification: Comprised of four additional 9-day sessions scheduled for January 15–24, February 19–28, April 16–25, and June 11–20, 2010. You are not required to complete all of these within a calendar year, but they must be taken in order. More details will be available as the curriculum is developed.
